Adventathon: 12

December 10th

Two birds

CRAFT Along, Nov/Dec

What’s that, Dear Finny? You say — “Donk! That looks like one of the November CRAFT projects that you didn’t complete so we extended the deadline through December!” Correct, my sweet friend. This is the scrappy zippy wallet.

CRAFT Along, Nov/Dec

It’s also meeting my Adventathon requirements for a cute, simple* and easy project that can make the holidays a bit sweeter. Sure, it is a spotty little zippy wallet. But you know what would make it even better? A gift card inside. Or a zip drive full of music. Or a tiny genie with a magic lamp and one million dollars.

Hey? A girl can dream.

Check, my friend. Your move.

*The snap? Not so simple. In fact, this process produced a rather vulgar series of screams from my kitchen involving a hammer, my fingers and directions printed so tiny you’d think they were created for the yet-to-have-appeared magic genie.

  1. I despise setting those snaps and will usually choose another closure for whatever I am making. The wallet is cute and would make a nice gift.

  2. Just curious….does this years Adventathon mean there will be no 2nd annual “12 Days Of Christmas” themed posts?

  3. Yeah. Those touches that make a project look all fancy and that people say are “so easy” are never easy and, while they may make something look fancy, bruised fingers and holes in walls the shape of, say a grommet puncher, are not fancy at all.

Good job pulling it off. I hope no one died 😉

I love this! You inspire me with all your projects…seriously! And I have been meaning to tell you that I love the zip drive with music on it idea. I am definitely keeping that in my mind for birthdays and next Christmas. I am trying to make slideshows of pictures on DVD’s this year for people as a money saving, but still personal gift. Thanks for all the inspiration – keep it up!
