Baby Luggage

Baby luggage

How sweet is this little luggage? I found it at my favorite paper store and when Rebecca and Matt decided to go lime green with their nursery and theme for new babe on the way, I knew this would be a part of the loot. It is pretty tiny, but a new liner for her baby pail fit just fine. They are going hippie-baby and cloth diapering.  You can imagine how excited I am to meet this wee one (Rebs and I have been friends since second grade. I cannot believe little Bec is having her own baby!) and to strongly encourage the new parents to stick with their eco-ideals.

I’ve got several essays bouncing around my head that need photos and a bit more attention; this week started with jury duty and suddenly running an office sola. So, I am here. Just furiously trying to keep up with life.  More meaningful content coming soon, including a last CAOK push before Easter!

I hope you are all well!

  1. Too cute. And yay for cloth diapers. My cousin used them and says they’re easier than people think.

  2. We use cloth diapers and I love them. I LOVE not having to think about buying diapers twice a week. I don’t know if your friends have made a decision on diapers yet, but I can highly recommend BumGenius all-in-one pocket diapers. Although I hear they may be a little bulky for brand new babies (we started using cloth at 4 weeks) – I have a friend that used cloth from the get-go, and she says Kissaluvs are great for the little tushes.

And for when the baby starts on solids, the Diaper Sprayer (also by BumGenius) is a MUST. It just hooks to the toilet and you use it like a bidet to clean off the mess – no swishing. Gotta have it.

Anyway, that’s my two cents! Cloth diapering is super easy, and I wish I would have done it with all of my kids. Oh well, better late than never!

  3. What a great little suitcase; I love containers like this as part of gift presentations. Great find, Kelli!

  4. Living life to its fullest, being happy and incredibly busy is a good post! Love the lime green case and the lining is cool! Cloth diapers make the best dust clothes as well. Soft and sturdy. Good Burp cloths too.

Where were fuzzi bunz when my kids were babies? I had to use rubber pants…that my son wore as head gear. Thank you for promoting this with your friend. We got nothing but opposition.

  6. Hooray for cloth diapers! One of my oldest and bestest friends just cloth diapered her second (most of the time) and loves it! I love it too (and loved that she did all that work so that someday I can steal all of her tips!). She tried a whole variety of types and came up with her faves so if Bec needs any advice from a mom who has recently tried a variety (her baby is 7mos) let me know! 🙂 I second the need for a sprayer – Jessica loves hers!
