Cure for Heartache

August 19th

When I heard of a friend who was going through a rough breakup — including moving across the country and having to to leave her crafting supplies behind — I knew just the remedy. When once doubled over in mind boggling heartache, my smart mama lifted my chin, put knitting needles in my hands, and talked me through the next six months. The first few weeks and projects were ugly. By the time I’d created something worthy of sharing, I was on the mend and had a cute little shrug for to wear to happy hour.
Hence, a crafty girl’s miracle cure for heartache:

Voila — love from Arizona, all wrapped up in some turquoise happiness.

Aww Kelli…once again you’ve done something incredibly sweet and good. Your heart truly is made of gold. Your friend will cherish that box and will mean 100 times more than you will ever know. When my husband was hurt and out-of-work this winter and we had no money coming in, friends of ours came, picked us up, and took us out for chinese food and that meant everything to us at that moment and sustained us for quite awhile. That box to your friend is sure to do the same (and that pin…oh my…you sure know how to make someone truly feel better…)

Thank you again Kelli, for being such a good friend…to all your friends….those near and far.
