  1. I vote for broken hearts.

Ah, and what can you do about broker hearts?

I recently learned my daughter (who lives in Denver) was dropped by her boyfriend.
Tomorrow is her birthday and I’m feeling truly sad about the timing for her.
She is deflated. Sad. Crying here and there. Trying to be brave but not sharing much with me.
She’s young – tomorrow 22, so she is not really experienced in handling the sting and pain.
And she is not only losing a boyfriend but also a dance partner.
And he is a good guy yet the relationship wasn’t working for him. I don’t know why.
Yet I wonder if men understand how badly they hurt somebody when the timing is bad?

So I vote for broken hearts!

And maybe you will like this message somebody sent me today:

An English professor wrote on the chalkboard the words,
“A woman without her man is nothing,”
and asked students to punctuate the sentence correctly.

All of the males in the class wrote:
“A woman, without her man, is nothing.”

All the females in the class wrote:
“A woman: without her, man is nothing.”

    Punctuation is powerful.

    Keep well.

  2. Hot dogs! Weiner sausages, frankfurters… whatever you want to call them. They look sort of gross, yet compelling at the same time. Any idea what they’re made of? The outer covering looks like some sort of plastic/acrylic.
