We’ve been exploring Phoenix little by little. A few photos from one of our new favorite weekend brunch spots:

Next up to explore:

The Heard — I haven’t been since I was a little one, on field trips

North Moutain — never climbed this peak

The zoo — because it will always be one of my favorite places in any city

Black Canyon City for Jack Daniels pecan pie; a must for newbies or visitors to this town.

Do you have a favorite place in Phoenix you recommend to friends? Or your hometown?

  1. If it is still there 😉 We loved Cartwright’s in Cave Creek for a nicer dinner out. Cowboy Comfort Food that is fancy! It was our fave to take visitors. And of course for a bit of a travel, Tucson for the AZ Sonora Desert Museum, and down there Cafe Poca Cosa for a meal. Brunch is fun at the Hotel Congress.

  2. One of my favorite places was Taliesin West. I love the tranquility and the history, both modern and ancient. One of the best date nights was at Classic Cooking in the McDowell Mountain area. Our favorite places to eat, besides Pita Jungle were a Mexican restaurant in Cave Creek that had a pond with turtles and funny looking ducks, North at Keirland, and Joe’s Farm Grill. I really, really have been wanting to drive the Apache Trail lately. Maybe someday…

  3. One of my favorites for brunch is The Farm at South Mountain. Lovely place that I have taken many friends to while they are in town.

  4. Cool! I love exploring places right by where we live that we never knew existed.

  5. I currently can’t get enough of Gallo Blanco and the rooftop deck at the Clarendon Hotel. Also, we love Cibo, Pizzeria Bianco at Town and Country, Parlor, La Condesa, Main Ingredient (except for the music). I think Tina might be referring to El Encanto in Cave Creek. Planning on checking out The Tuck Shop soon.
