I’ve had a headache for the last three days centered behind my left eye. Little has provided relief — much less the hot, sweaty yoga I made such a public commitment to keep. I didn’t get a thing done this weekend other than attend yoga and watch hours of movies with squinted vision.

They say it is the darkest before the dawn. Perhaps my body is preparing for the change my heart and head have already accepted. I suspect I’m fighting caffeine withdrawal and the yoga may be doing a thing or two to my lymphatic system. Also, I’d guess I’m dehydrated;  it is going to take some time to figure out the Bikram/water/feel great ratio. I don’t have it down yet. Tomorrow, I suspect, will be far kinder.

Tomorrow, after all, is a new job. A new outfit. A new routine. A new way of life. A new set of challenges. A new beginning.

These, I believe, are just what the doctor ordered.

  1. May the positive, happy, new job vibes provide you with just enough adrenaline and endorphins to squash the headache and icky feeling!! Have a great first day! I know you are going to be fantastic, and remember to be gentle with yourself with all these changes you are making all at one time (caffeine, bikram, new job, etc.)!

    Thinking of you!!

  2. Yay, new job! Oh and I get migraines (one sided is typically a migraine) when we get storms as well. The snow up north has left me hurting the last few days. With the dumping rain down there, I would have had one too… So hopefully this break in the storms will make you feel better.

  3. Never underestimate the power of water! Keep drinking even if it sends you to the bathroom every half hour at your new job :). Have a great day at your new job. But I will say that it is very bold of you to have all these changes at once. 60 day Power Yoga challenge and NO Caffiene is one thing on it’s own, but a new job to boot. Amazing. Looking forward to hearing about it all AFTER you get your rest! It’s all wonderful, but go to bed early tonight. 🙂 All the best!
    ps. water

  4. Good luck with the new job! I know you will do well.

Caffeine….it is how I start my day. I love that first cup of coffee and the warm feeling.

  5. Go Kelli!! You new job is very exciting – laying a ground work for students for years to come. You are making history.

  6. Here’s hoping you feel better soon. I get sinus headaches a lot. Those are often behind the eyes. Also my vision issues give me headaches once in a while.
