Black bean hummus + cut veggies: I swapped garbanzos in this recipe for black beans, added a dash of flax to thicken this a bit more and a lot of cayenne. Now that I’ve got the hang of making my own hummus, no more store bought nonsense. This takes all of 10 minutes to throw together at 1/4 of the price.

  2. I make my own hummus all the time, it’s fab and easy and so much cheaper!

    A couple of add-ins to try: sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers or kalamata olive…wow! Delish!

  7. I just had a black-bean hummus sandwich this weekend. Black-bean hummus, avocado, tomato, lettuce, and cheese on focaccia. Oh my, it was tasty. Messy, but tasty.

  9. Looks delicious:) I love making hummus too. Do you make your own tahini? That is an easy one too and taste (imho)better than store bought! It is such a great way to eat your veggies.
