Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

HH neighbor bread

I left a few of these on neighbor’s doors and handed out a couple others to those I could catch in person; my parents are still friends with neighbors they had in their very first home after getting married. There is something endearing about knowing who lives near you, and not just so I can borrow their tools or take care of their dogs when on vacation.

My last home had a constant stream of changing neighbors; I hope to plant some new seeds of friendship on this street.

  2. I love doing this – good for you! Don’t forget to add your street number when dropping these off with new folks so they can come by and introduce themselves 🙂

Wish you were my neighbor too!!! Thanks for the address change up date!! I was hoping there was one with my name on it!!! So glad you are happy Kelli!!

  5. My home now was my childhood home so some neighbors I’ve known forever but there are a few I missed meeting when I wasn’t living here. One of these men mowed my lawn the other day, out of the blue, because he “noticed I might need help.” It was so mortifyingly (I made that word up) kind that I didn’t know whether to cry or smile. (In my defense, my lawn mower was broken.) Anyway, I felt bad I had never met him, but he will be getting a bread this weekend in thanks!! Good neighbors are PRICELESS and you must be a fantastic one!

  6. Totally bummed that you don’t live next door to me! And loving the Hh stamp!

  7. You are so awesome! I think that makes a huge difference if you are kind to your neighbors like that.

Now, does Hh mean Happy Hippie, or Heirloom Homestead? 🙂

  8. Once again since I “know” you, I wish I’ve lived closer……

  9. This is seriously one of my favorite things to do! I love baking+sharing!

  10. I take small things to all the neighbors on Christmas. Although now I skip some neighbors 😉
